| 3/2009 Alex Allitt proves age no barrier, having just had his 80th Birthday, cleaned up at the Narrandera "John Obrien Festival" poetry competition. Alex beat a hot field of 12 poets who travelled from far and near to compete with a Bob Magor poem about a dog that moved to town and found an old dead sheep; I leave the rest to Alex and your imagination. As well Alex was runner up in the John Obrien poetry competition "Around the Boree Log" . For his troubles Alex picked up a lazy $600. |
